Desert Fiber Arts

Each One, Teach One

Artistic Merit Award Winner, Leslie Waldo!

DFA Prez Connie Schlosser awards Leslie Waldo her certificate & check for the Artistic Merit Award.

Leslie Waldo won this year's Artistic Merit Award for her wet-felted piece, Heads or Tails.  You get a glimpse of it behind Connie & Leslie at left.

An anonymous team of Allied Arts members searched our "Outside the Box" exhibit for fiber art pieces that carried an emotional punch or communicated a point of view or highlighted a concept.  Leslie's wet-felted wall piece captured their imaginations.  Leslie used wool from her own Shetland sheep.  She is skilled enough to capture the lock structure on the trio of colorful sheep.

Check the Here's What's New page on this site for more photos of her piece and others.
