SEPTEMBER 13, 2014 10:00 to 2:00 GUILD HOUSE
101 No. Union St., Suite 208, Kennewick, WA
Everyone is invited to attend! Greet old friends, make new friends, browse the scrapbooks of "the olden’ days", and in general enjoy our new home. DFA began 40 years ago. The library and equipment was housed in member's homes and meetings were in various public facilities and private homes. Over the years the dream was to have a place to meet, work, store equipment and shelve books - and now it has come true!
Laurel has completed a scrapbook for each year, so newer members can look back and see Edith Marsh, Zina Mae Chesley and Mildred Stice, just a few of our early members who did so much to encourage those of us new to spinning and weaving.
You will also see photos of our first workshop where members were sitting on the floor, learning to warp a Beka loom. Now the Beka study group has moved up off the floor and is going strong! Mark your calendar and join us for visiting and refreshments, Saturday, September 13th from 10:00 to 2:00.
What a wonderful facility we have in which to celebrate this grand event. The founders of the guild would be proud to see what has grown from the seed they planted. May we carry it forward in true style following the motto “Each One, Teach One”.
