The next meeting is November 21 from 6:00 – 8:00pm in Conference Room A at the Richland Library.

We had a blast with Kitty Burn Bryant. She showed us how she selects sweaters for their yarn. Where she goes to find great – inexpensive sweaters.  Kitty demonstrated her whole process from start to finish. She also has a knack for using everyday objects in creative fiber ways.

We discussed the 2018 Summer Reading Afghan and have decided to do one in either Richland High or Hanford High colors.  A coin toss will determine  which is knitted in 2018 and which will be done in 2019.  Sue and Leah will do the coin toss.

Connie recently took some tiny hats and sweaters to Kadlec Hospital for the NICU.  The nurse told her they needed hats in the following sizes: Tangerine, Lemon and Grapefruit.  They also can use teeny tiny sweaters for premies and bereavement items.

The By the Book Knitters Annual Christmas Tea will take place December 19th you can bring cookies but there won’t be a cookie exchange.  The library will supply tea and cocoa.  I thought we could make tiny Christmas Booties then donate them to Kadlec after the party.
