We are a hands-on learning experience. Our goal is to learn everything there is to know about weaving on the humble yet versatile rigid heddle loom.
Lots of warping and new projects on the looms. So much learning and creativity going on. We will continue to meet the 2nd and 4th Mondays at the DFA Studio, from 12 – 4 PM.
What’s on the looms? Shawls in dented structure and open laces, dishtowels in basket weave, scarves with pick-up patterns, bed runners made from old curtains and lace table cloths, tapestry techniques and new weavers making samplers, and two and three heddle projects are just some of the techniques and items being made. Each One, Teach One is alive and well!!!
