The chemical odors from next door’s construction have dissipated. The new chairs are in and they nest beautifully to give an adjusted vantage point for those of us that are height challenged. Thank you Earlene, for spear heading the purchase of new chairs and tables to come.
Although our gathering last week was small, we received some great news. Check out the newsletter for the announcement.
Lots of warping and new projects on the looms. So much learning and creativity going on. What’s on the looms? Shawls in dented structure and open laces, dishtowels in basket weave, scarves with pick-up patterns, bed runners made from old curtains and lace table cloths, tapestry techniques and new weavers making samplers, and two and three heddle projects are just some of the techniques and items being made.
We are a hands-on learning experience. Our goal is to learn everything there is to know about weaving on the humble yet versatile rigid heddle loom. Each One, Teach One is alive and well!!!
