The conference is being held in Lynden, WA October 10th to the 14th. The Felted Hat Workshop with Donna Hunter, is being held Friday, Oct. 13, 10-3. Make a seamless hat by felting wool fiber around a resist pattern. The process uses soap, water and agitation to create the felt. Various styles of hats with or without brims can be shaped on hat blocks. There is no knitting or crochet involved. For this class, registration is $50, $45 for Jansen Art Center members, and there is a materials fee of $8. Other classes that still have openings are:

  • Felted Flower Vase with Donna Hunter
  • Surface Design for the Weaver: the Exciting World of Warp Painting with Liz Moncrief

  • Beginning Rigid Heddle Weaving with Susan Torntore
